We went to the zoo on Saturday to celebrate the end of summer camp. It was a great little family afternoon.
We put Daisy in her new shirt so that we could get a picture for the blog. This was to be our way of sharing the news with those of you who hadn't heard, and publicly celebrating with those who had.
With our busy little one, we didn't get a great shot.
A new Gemmer baby. Due in late March. A little surprising and overwhelming when we first found out, but thrilling nonetheless.
And then Sunday night I spent the hours from 11:00-3:00 in the ER. Lots of blood. Lots of pain. Weakness and dizzyness and nausea. Darin was an amazing partner. I was thankful for the physical pain to focus on getting through.
"Spontaneous abortion" is the medical term.
"Miscarriage" is the way we tell our friends and family.
Lots and lots and lots of tears.
Thankful for a faithful God and a family who comes to the rescue.
So thankful for the little one we've been blessed with already. Her life with us seems like so much more of a miracle today.
Not sure how much I'll be around the next few days...
