The day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday to many) Darin and I left our brood in the capable hands of Gran and Jeff and headed out for a bit of shopping and a movie. While we were away the girls found Gran's stash of wrapping paper and scotch tape, and wrapped all kinds of things they found around the house. They even created some of their own wrapping paper. All gifts went under the tree with the promise that the next morning we would have a "pretend Christmas".
And that's just what we did. After breakfast we all gathered around the tree while Daisy and Dani handed out presents to everyone.
Darin had the camera and took a few pictures of the action.
And in her package (besides a whole bunch of her own toys) was a crown Daisy had made. And it was game over for the photographer; there was only one subject in the room.
Having kids around sure makes life more fun.
What a great 'rainy day' idea for the month of December! I guess you could even improvise on this for other holidays...practice egg hunts, and so forth.
Leyla sure is a cutie!
