We were blessed to have some lunchtime company on Christmas Eve when Gran and Jeff came over. We had matched Daisy's money she chose to spend at her school's store and she proudly purchased gifts for Gran & Jeff, Dani, and Papa.
Can you tell Gran loved her gift? Some rose-shaped soap that looks just perfect in her guest bath.
And Dani got in some good cuddle and conversation time.
Attentive Grandparents are the best!
Our guests left shortly after lunch (festive fajitas this year) so we rested a bit and then prepared for church. Darin was supposed to work that night but they didn't have enough staff to have the chaplains come to Juvi. It was bittersweet as I know some hurting kids would have really loved the company/conversations, but it was wonderful to have church and Christmas eve as a family.
I took a shot of our tree to get my camera settings right,
then attempted to copy this photo I had seen on Pinterest.
Had to get one facing front too!
When we returned from church (a truly magical service provided by our friends at Peninsula Bible Fellowship) we let the girls each open one present: new pajamas! Then they were off to the bath while I prepped dinner.
Baby girl returned from the bath first, so I attempted a little photoshoot with her too.
Since she was too distracted by the sparkly balls on the tree, I made them work for me.
And a sister shot! (Thanks to the monkey who was hooting and hollaring behind me I got these great smiles.)
Baby girl headed off to bed while the rest of us had a picnic on the floor by the tree. This was our first year doing this and we all enjoyed it so much it might become a tradition.
And the traditional reading before bed for the bigs.
I'm pretty sure we sprinkled raindeer food, set out cookies and milk, and layed out our stockings too...but no pictures of those. I'm pretty sure I forgot to take a picture of all the presents from Santa too. Oh well, those memories are tucked into my heart this time.
Beautiful! Those memories are so precious!

LOVE the pics of the girls, silhouetted (sp?) in front of the tree :D
