Well, my friends, it happened. My team, my boys, are in the SUPERBOWL!!! I am still in shock. The hawks beat the Carolina Panthers yesterday afternoon and secured their trip to Detroit. I am thrilled beyond words. I have been a Seahawks fan since birth. Sundays in my house August-January were always Hawk days. I have seen this team through some seriously rough days. It's weird to feel such joy over something that I had absolutely nothing to do with. Just a loyal fan. Kuddos to you fans who have stuck through more years than I have! This ones for you.
I spent a lot of hours at home alone this week. Darin's grandfather was in the hospital, so he took the car to Everett and I was stranded. So, I got a lot of scrapbooking done and am happy to say that Amy's wedding album is DUNZO! I am really proud of the work here, and can't wait to see how Amy and Kevin like it. This weekend I'm planning to attempt my first ever scrapbook photo shoot, and try to get pictures of the pages in case anything happens to them. By the way, I also completed a little extra gift to go along with the album. Now, if only I could finish my own projects this fast!
Darin's grandfather did pass away early Saturday morning. It was a long couple of days for Darin hanging out in the hospital and helping mediate as his aunts and uncles determined what to do. Grandpa Darryl is his Dad's Dad, and Darin was never really close to him, so is taking this well. I can't imagine what it was like to stand by a man's bedside as he died. This Friday is the funeral, so keep Darin's family in your prayers.
AND GO HAWKS!
